THE MONROE, DOWNTOWN ALBANY NY
Cotler Architecture worked closely with the client on the design of this renovation project. The firm and client were able to produce a modern looking apartment building as they integrated an additional story into the building.
The project involved converting an existing four-story masonry building formerly used as a printing plant into a five-story apartment building. The design features a fiber cement cladding system and exposed steel elements to give it a contemporary look. There are 43 apartments units typically 1, 100 square feet with five penthouse 1, 500 square feet units, each overlooking downtown Albany and the Hudson River. The basement design features indoor parking and additional tenant storage.

THE ESPLANADE, MECHANICVILLE NY
The Esplanade features 230,000 square feet of residential and 40,000 square feet of commercial space. This mixed-use community will be situated on the Hudson River and is designed to maximize the water front views. The buildings along North Main Street were designed to resemble a 1900’s city block, while the buildings along the river have a more residential style of architecture. The site features an outdoor pool, playground and outside seating for a restaurant.
Cotler Architecture worked closely with the client for the design of the project. The firm designed the project buildings and provided the initial concept site layout. We also assisted in all municipal approvals by providing photo realistic renderings of the project.

PARK PLACE AT SARATOGA POLO, SARATOGA SPRINGS NY
The Park Place at Saratoga Polo Apartments project had many challenges. A small site created many obstacles to lay out the number of units desired by the client. Ultimately, we were able to site six buildings while maintaining the functionality of the individual building and a design that reflects the local architectural style.
