Our Founding
Cotler Architecture was founded in 1984 by visionary leader, Stephen Cotler. His legacy has lived on since his passing in 2013 through his appointment of Derek Gribulis, RA, as principal and owner. Both Stephen and Derek proudly graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and enjoyed in their shared love of innovation, stellar design, and devoted customer service. Derek began his career with Cotler as an Intern Architect in 2003 and has been proudly serving New York's Capital Region and beyond ever since.
Our Name
Now known as Cotler & Gribulis Architecture, we’ve woven in the legacy of our founder, Stephen, with the dedicated leadership of our principal, Derek Gribulis.
